Course Length:  Eight-week module will end in successful completion of CNA program

Face-to-Face Sessions: Lecture Sessions: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6pm-10pm
Clinical Sessions: Saturdays 6am-12pm; 12:30pm-6:30pm

Course Description:
  This course will prepare students to successfully pass the UNAR CNA Certification Exam. 
Course Objectives:  
   Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Effectively provide CNA care for variety of patient populations.
  2. Have a basic understanding of Medical Terminology and Medical Abbreviations.
  3. Successfully pass the state CNA Certification Exam.
Teaching Strategies: 
   This course is a self-directed/instructor-guided learning experience.
Delivery Systems:  
   This course may use any combination of lectures, group activities, demonstrations, reviews, student-centered learning using assessments, and projects.

Course Outline Reading:  
   Chapter readings from the textbook are assigned each week; see the Course Schedule.
   Students will complete workbook assignments each week and one other assignment per week. These assignments will require outside research. Assignments can be submitted any time before the due date. The assignments will also serve as practice and preparation for quizzes/examinations.
